Who We Are

We are a part of the fast rising agribusiness conglomerate

Manomi Support Services Limited (MSSL) is one of three subsidiaries of Haske & Williams Ltd – a fast-rising agribusiness conglomerate – created to make interventions cutting across all aspects of the primary production value chain of all our agricultural commodities with projects and services that facilitates improved livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Our goal is to provide much-needed support services required by smallholder farmers to boost agricultural production and help them migrate from subsistence to commercial agriculture.

How We Support

Modern farming technologies

The dawn of agri-revolution in Nigeria has seen a rise in the number of privatized farms and agribusiness operations in local communities. However, more than 75% of families in these commercially farmed zones remain at subsistence levels in their agricultural efforts. These Small-scale farmers lack access to basic inputs and services, such as seeds, fertilizer, machinery services, market information, credit facilities, modern farming technologies and business skills to manage their farms and market their products. Our interventions serve to help them overcome these and other constraints by;

• Supporting capacity building activities for smallholder farmers.

• Improving market access and provision of input-based financing for farm level activities.

• Delivering farm-level services focused on increasing quality and yield, value addition, and market access.

Our Approach

Inclusive Business, Sustainability and Innovation.

To raise household incomes and alleviate poverty among the smallholder farming communities, we focus our interventions on agricultural productivity, profitability and inclusivity, implemented through our robust Manomi Support Scheme Initiative which is adapted to the needs of each farming community and incorporates the 3 principles of our Shared Success model – Inclusive Business, Sustainability and Innovation.

Generally, our strategy is a bottom-up approach that identifies the specific needs of farmers in each location, provides bespoke solutions to fill the need and involves a vertical integration between our business, farmer organisations and individual farmers with implementation of mutually agreed policies and procedures guiding the relationship between stakeholders to ensure the attainment of our Shared Success philosophy.

Project Objectives

Manomi Support Scheme Initiative (MSSI)

The project objective is to develop market-oriented, financial and in-kind support services that assist farmers with farm level activities through;

• Facilitating access to much-needed agro-infrastructure for smallholder farmers.

• Ensuring increase in yield through the adoption of best protocols in agricultural production and utilization of quality inputs.

• Enhancing area cultivated through the adoption of mechanized agriculture.

• Provide access to guaranteed markets.

• Improve the livelihoods and income of smallholder farmers.
